Parish Priest's Message
Welcome to St. Peter’s Church
I am glad to welcome you to our Website. This website is not only for our Parishioners, but also for those, our dear Parishioners, working in different parts of the world.
Today, we live in a Global Family. When I say: “Global Family”, communication has made us closer and more connected to each other. Through this website, we would like to share all our activities and upcoming programs with everyone. As you read through these pages, you will get a sense of the prayerful, purposeful and passionate faith community that is St. Peter’s.
Our Mission Statement aptly captures the character of St. Peter’s. It reads:
“St. Peter’s is a rock, built on the Foundation of Truth, inspiring and equipping believers to be a Eucharistic People.”
To be Eucharistic is to be prayerful because we understand that the Mass is the source and summit of our Christian life. We are committed to making the Mass a meaningful encounter for people so that, from the Table of the Word and Eucharist, people can grow to more deeply love Jesus and His Church.
To be built on the Foundation of Truth enables us to be a purposeful people because we know that Jesus meant it when He said: “If you continue in My word, you are truly My disciples; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free” (John 8:31-32). In a world that increasingly asks with Pontius Pilate: “What is truth?” (John 18:38), we want to explore how we apply to our lives the One who also said: “Everyone who belongs to the truth listens to My voice” (John 18:37).
To inspire and equip believers helps us to discover a passion because we are men and women who know why we believe what we believe. St. Paul in Ephesians 4:15-16 captures this passion in his vivid prose:
But speaking the truth in love, we must grow up in every way into Him who is the Head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by every ligament with which it is equipped, as each part is working properly, promotes the body’s growth in building itself up in love.
I wish each one of you God’s Blessing and am looking forward to interacting with you through our website.
May our Patron Saint be the Rock of our Faith.
Yours in Christ,
Rev. Fr. Ronald Miranda
